Tumbbad has surpassed all previous re-releases since 2000 at the box office. I wish we had received similar support in 2018. I hope, this re-release will encourage and support young new filmmakers who are still struggling in the industry with their fresh and innovative ideas.

I am proud of Tumbbad, and i prefer not to give further interviews, ,answering the same questions which I answered long back. I am struggling to create my next two,so called-“ unfilmable/ impossible”thanks to raj&dk, it requires all our focus as we are battling against time.

visuals help a lot while narrating. From 2006 till 2008 all my pitch narrations failed. Then I made it on photoshop in 2009, it was raw, rough. Not exactly the final film. But 2010 onwards my pitch narrations hardly failed,(approved by creative teams, then rejected by marketing.)

5 years of Tumbbad release.. 4.5 years of Gulkanda in progress, a year and half of Pahadpangira in development. i can be wrong, but i believe this.
-Unless we don't sincerely and truly like whatever work we are creating personally, it simply can't be liked by anyone else.

I will never forget 12 08 18. The day Tumbbad was finally released.I thought this it it. This is the end of decade long doom. But I was wrong. ज्या निर्जीव गोष्टींमध्ये करणाऱ्यांचा खूप जीव ओतला गेला असतो, त्या गोष्टी पूर्ण निर्जीव असू शकत नाहीत. त्यांचे स्थान फक्त भविष्य ठरवते.

This one film helped me survive for decades. my personal religious book. when I watched it for the first time (2006), I was so bored, that I almost slept by the end of it..i hated the film then. Luckily I was able to watch it half-heartedly again, - then i saw it again.

One of the longest monologue.almost two pages and 2.5/3 minutes long.difficult sanskit dialogues, and with each line strikingly choregraphed bizzare dance movments. -one take. He nailed it. 200 crew members clapped. he wasn't happy. On sixth take I had to stop him.

For decades i worked on this trilogy with many producers changing in between. first was the greed of patriarchy, personal version of father, son and the holy ghost. Second deals with the dawn of feminism and holier than holy sati-pratha - 'Pahadpangira'. Third , 'Pakshitirtha'.
