Zwitserland stemt massaal tegen radicale klimaatwet: 70 procent zegt nee. Het gezond verstand haalt de bovenhand op de doorgeslagen klimaatagenda. De Zwitsers kiezen ervoor om vlees te blijven eten, hun landschap niet vol te zetten met windmolens en niet in te leveren op hun levenskwaliteit. Deze stemming maakt meteen duidelijk waarom politici in België en Nederland geen bindend referendum willen. Ze willen niet afhankelijk zijn van de democratische wil van de bevolking. Zwitserland toont aan hoe correctieve referenda ervoor zorgen dat rationele beslissingen worden genomen. Misschien tijd om dit voorbeeld te volgen?

I completely agree. The Catholic Church needs a true warrior—someone who fearlessly defends the faith, stands by the Church and its eternal truths, and protects Christians who are persecuted around the world. Now more than ever, the Church needs strong leadership to stand against those who seek to undermine it.
I am really enjoying this change in the US presidency. Many, Catholic or not, also await a change in the papacy. So many want Pope Francis to step down. Let’s not be afraid to say it. What a blessing it would be for the church and the world.

De reacties op de tweet hieronder zijn ronduit hilarisch. Uiteraard brengt Scholz geen Hitlergroet, net zoals Musk dat ook niet deed. Toch wringen allerlei deugdzame types zich in de meest bizarre bochten om te kunnen beweren dat die van Musk wél echt was.

In Zwitserland stemmen uiterst geëngageerde burgers in een referendum. Het verklaart de normaliteit, de kleine overheid, de lage belastingen, het geloof in de kracht van het individu, het welbegrepen nationale eigenbelang en de afkeer van sociale en woke experimenten.
Zwitsers stemmen massaal tegen radicale klimaatwet: 70 procent zegt nee. Zouden ze hier ook moeten doen een referendum. Dan zou de uitkomst hier hetzelfde zijn.
