Ramis Şen, the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye in the People’s Republic of Bangladesh paid a courtesy call on with the Principal Staff Officer (PSO) of Bangladesh Armed Forces Division (AFD) Lieutenant General S M Kamrul Hassan on 13 February 2025 at Dhaka Cantonment. Colonel Imam Setiawan, the newly appointed Defence Attaché of Indonesia to Bangladesh, made a courtesy call on with the Principal Staff Officer (PSO) of Bangladesh Armed Forces Division (AFD) Lieutenant General S M Kamrul Hassan on 10 February 2025 at Dhaka Cantonment. During the discussion, both of them agreed to strengthen bilateral defence relations and cooperation. A four-member Bangladesh delegation, led by Lieutenant General S M Kamrul Hassan, BSP, ndc, hdmc, psc, PhD, Principal Staff Officer (PSO) of the Armed Forces Division (AFD), participated in the 2nd Preparatory Conference for the UN Peacekeeping Ministerial-2025, held in Indonesia from February 4 to 5, 2025. The UN Peacekeeping Ministerial is a key international platform for addressing the future strategies and challenges of global peacekeeping operations. During the opening ceremony of the 2nd Preparatory Conference, the Principal Staff Officer of the Armed Forces Division reaffirmed Bangladesh’s strong commitment to global peacekeeping as one of the largest contributors to the cause. He also delivered insightful remarks on the future direction of UN peacekeeping operations. Through this prestigious global forum, Bangladesh's active participation and meaningful exchange of ideas with prominent international figures, including UN Under-Secretary-General Katherine Pollard, have significantly enhanced the country's image in its steadfast commitment to global peace. Acting Australian High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Ms Nardia Simpson, has made a courtesy farewell ‘Call On’ with the Principal Staff Officer (PSO) of the Armed Forces Division (AFD), Lieutenant General S M Kamrul Hassan, on 22 January 2025. During the discussion, she thanked the Armed Forces Division for its continuous support to the Australian High Commission in the fields of defence cooperation. PSO also thanked her for supporting the Armed Forces Division in developing defence engagement between two countries.
