@TessFowler That tracks with what he said here. It is sad that this is the type of person that gets successful. I joke with my wife that I could probably make a living at podcasting but I’d have to be vile and hateful and I don’t have that in me.

Adventures of Superman #474 is often cited among Post Crisis fans as one of the best of Dan Jurgens’ run as writer and penciller on that title. And it’s easy to see why. It’s a tight, one and done issue that tells a tale of Clark’s past concerning one of the pivotal moments…1/

One of the best things about Zero Hour was the crossovers. @JonBogdanove drew an all-time career best cover with Superman: TMOS 37. He also drew an amazing promo poster that flipped the script on the image. Did you try to spot all the Bat homages?. #ZeroHourAt30 #Superman

30 years ago today the overlooked Crisis began. Zero Hour: Crisis in Time was part event/part attempt to fix some of the continuity blips since Crisis. The countdown began with issue 4!. Do you have any memories from when this came out or when you first read it?. #ZeroHourAt30

One of the best of the Zero Hour crossovers was Superboy #8. So much fun and some fantastic writing and art by @KarlKesel & Tom Grummett. Be sure to check out @diggingforkrpod for his coverage of all things Pre-Crisis Superboy!. #ZeroHourAt30 #Superboy

Well…. First impression…I like it. The boots look good, I like the symbol, and trunks. It’s like a mix of the New 52 and the classic mixed with a Kingdom Come symbol. I also am fascinated by the thing in the background. I’m satisfied. #Superman

According to Mike's Amazing World of Comics, July 10, 1986 is the day Man of Steel #1 was published. I cannot adequately express how important this series would become to me. #Superman #ManOfSteel

If the last twenty or so years has proven anything to me on a deep and personal level it’s that people trying to make Superman “relevant for today” are making a Superman that I will have very little interest in. The ideals Superman stands for are always relevant. When…1/.

During the early days of the Post Crisis era Action Comics was the team up book. Some were good. Some were not as good. And some were insane. Action #597 was one of the insane ones. 1/

Y’all…this thing is amazing. The extras are great and even include the introduction from the Eradication & Time and Time Again trades. There is one @thedanjurgens unused cover that I wish they had gone with. Worth the money. Looking forward to future volumes. #Superman

This is one of the nicest things anyone has ever given me. What you’re looking at is the production art for the cover to Action Comics #644. It’s in my Top 3 Favorite Post Crisis Covers and a good friend gave this to me along with some other great Superman gifts. 1/

Superman: The Man of Steel #1 came out 30 years ago today. I cannot express how huge this was for 15 year old me. Thanks, as always, to Mike Carlin, @LouiseSimonson2, & @JonBogdanove for being such an important part of my Superman fandom. #Superman

It is staggering to me that @cwsupermanlois has not in any way slowed down and dropped the ball. This show leaves everything on the table with every episode. And it is absolutely impossible to guess where the show is going to go next.

It is #SupermanDay!. Whether you like the Golden Age or Silver Age or whether you are Post Crisis or New 52. It doesn’t matter if you like Reeve or Reeves or Welling or Routh or Alyn or Cain or Cavill. It doesn’t matter if you are an S:TAS or Filmation fan. It’s all Superman. 1/

About 10 years ago I had access to a large format scanner at work & I took advantage of that to scan a bunch of things that were too large to do so at home. This Time and Time Again ad was one of them. What an amazing ad. #Superman

Anyway, the epilogue was in Adv of Superman #489, and it had a gorgeous Grummett cover. It has the heroes returning in the first half and jumped into a storyline that tied back to Adv of Superman 443 because that’s how the Superman books rolled in the Triangle era. 4/

Really enjoyed watching @hasanthehun debate Charlie Kirk. Hasan stuck with ideas while Charlie was nothing more than a talking conservative doll. Pull the tab & here come the talking points. Hasan was the exact opposite. Well done.

Also Tom Cotton: Send in the troops to deal with protestors here at home. I guess it’s all about where the protesting is done.
30 years ago today, the Chinese Communist Party's tanks rolled into Tiananmen Square, killing thousands of peaceful protestors seeking freedom. We'll never forget the bravery and sacrifice of those Chinese students.

Dear @DCComics ,. Hey. I saw that you solicited Superman: The Man of Steel Col 2 HC for a January release. Among other issues it reprints Superman 8 & Action 591. Those were the stories that made me start collecting the Superman books, which I did for over 30 years. 1/.

Y’all…@JonBogdanove’s variant cover to the Zero Hour 30th Anniversary Special is so good. Reminiscent of his Superman surrounded by Batmen cover from the original. Check out the level of detail he put into making the various Hal’s look like they were drawn by other artists.

The Post Crisis Superman gets his Fortress of Solitude in Adv. of Superman #461. This was a big deal for me when it happened. It felt like Superman’s world was growing and I was there for it while it was happening. And while it was big on its own it was also set up for…1/

I think one of the main reasons I defend SUPERMAN IV is this cover. I know that Swan drew the interiors (which were good) but every time I see this cover I see the movie this could have been. Byrne & @JerryOrdway making Nuclear Man look cool Glad he's coming to the comics.

Favorite Exapnded Universe Novel. Again…I haven’t read a lot. I have only dipped my toe into that pool, but holy crap did I love Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter. The audio version read by @SamWitwer was so much fun. I also dug the original Zahn trilogy and Labyrinth of Evil. 3/

The older I get & the more the world turns to crap the more I look back on things & think, “It wasn’t perfect but it was fun.”. Batman Forever is one of those things. I don’t normally push for extended versions, but this one might be fun. #ReleasetheSchumacherCut
