@MaroonMusket This whole thing has gotten spicier in the last 24 hours. Why would they even bother to do that?!

@PrizeInsurance Multiple UMass sources say that you actually denied the claim, which contradicts your statement to the Associated Press that you never received the claim. Hmmmmmm. What is the truth?

RT @garrett_cote: A source close to the situation just showed me an email from Odds On Promotions sent to UMass, and in it Odds On clearly…

THE PLOT THICKENS!
UMass is saying @PrizeInsurance told them the shot was disqualified after reviewing the footage. But now the insurance company is saying they never invalided the shot and UMass didn't even file a claim? Either someone isn't telling the truth or both sides are TERRIBLE at PR.

@EliSlovin @FightMA247 Why didn’t they do the right thing in the first place? They could have avoided a huge headache had they found that $10k after the claim was denied but before contacting Noah. Heck, they could have even controlled the PR and spun it well.

@mattengdahl @MLBergman_ It’s just the nature of modern mid-major college basketball. Same thing would have happened if RJ played at VCU or Santa Clara. Just a minor league for the P4 and Big East.

@Carvelville @PrizeInsurance Yes, I am aware how this works. After the claim was denied by the insurance company, UMass should have found a way to get him the $10k before contacting Noah. Had they done that, they could have avoided all this.

@MichaelALewis73 You might be correct, but was the guy told beforehand that both feet had to be behind the line? Was the guy told right then and there that the shot didn’t count? He had additional time; he could have tried again.
