Opinion: Monica Rambeau/Captain Marvel was a great character & leader but also a missed opportunity. The 1982 creation by R. Stern & J. Romita Jr. had a unique power set & an interesting civilian life. Strangely she “disappeared” & was never the same as Photon Spectrum or Pulsar.

I believe comic readers would appreciate Batman smiling more. Batman can be serious but doesn’t have to be miserable & gloomy. He should grin, smirk, laugh more! A more balanced Batman would grow his audience. The Dark Knight is tiring. Thoughts?

George Perez.
My first exposure to George Perez was when I started buying comics in 1977. These were some of the first comics I bought and they all had Perez’s covers. These images are still some of my favorites. Amazingly George Perez was only 23 when these were published.
