A: I’m an independent artist and developer from Southern California. My journey began with back-end and front-end development, and over time I started experimenting with generative art—specifically pieces inscribed on Bitcoin Ordinals. My projects often blend code, creativity, and an exploration of AI. One key accomplishment is creating spacecribe, a platform that helps lower barriers for anyone interested in generating on-chain artwork. --- 𝙌: How do you view the uniqueness of the Ordinals protocol for artistic expression on the Bitcoin network? What new creative opportunities or technical challenges has it brought you? A: The Ordinals protocol provides a permanent, censorship-resistant environment on Bitcoin, which is especially exciting for artists who want their works preserved immutably. It offers novel ways to merge generative art with the ethos of Bitcoin. At the same time, optimizing file sizes, dealing with inscription constraints, and ensuring the artwork remains accessible on-chain can be a challenge—but it’s also a worthwhile puzzle for pushing creative limits. --- 𝙌: What themes or philosophical concepts does your work usually explore? Do you find it necessary to adjust or innovate when expressing these ideas on the Bitcoin blockchain? A: My work often explores the intersection of technology, decentralization, and AI-driven creativity. I also like to highlight the concept of collaboration between human expression and machine-generated processes. On Bitcoin, I’ve had to innovate in how I store and deploy pieces—particularly paying attention to on-chain data limits—while still keeping the final visual experience meaningful and aesthetically compelling. --- 𝙌: How do you see the future prospects of Ordinals and on-chain art? Do you think it will foster a new artistic ecosystem on Bitcoin? A: I believe Ordinals are just the tip of the iceberg. The ability to inscribe data on the Bitcoin blockchain is creating a vibrant new ecosystem—one where artists and collectors converge around provably scarce, indelible works. It lowers entry barriers for creators who appreciate Bitcoin’s permanence and global reach, promising a dynamic future for on-chain art. --- 𝙌: Where do you find the balance between technology and art in your on-chain creations? A: The beauty of on-chain art is that it melds technical problem-solving with raw creative inspiration. It signifies a milestone where I realized the power of Ordinals to permanently enshrine experimental art on Bitcoin, spurring me to create hundreds more pieces. --- 𝙌: What advice or insights would you offer to artists and creators interested in exploring on-chain art within the Bitcoin space? A: 1. Embrace experimentation: Test new techniques and formats, and don’t be afraid of the learning curve. 2. A: The essence of art creation is expression. I have always been searching for something I am good at, unique, and capable of resonating with others. From the very beginning of my entrepreneurial journey, I chose the direction of Chinese culture. It has thousands of years of continuous civilization. I have been studying the oldest classics and traditions since I was young. I know that many of the methods and wisdom we use today were already proposed by sages over 2000 years ago. The market economy comes from the *Tao Te Ching*, macroeconomics from *Guanzi*, state governance from *Han Feizi*, and so on. Over the past five years, my exploration has evolved from a broad understanding of Chinese culture, to the rise of domestic trends (guochao), to Eastern culture, then to cultivation culture, and finally Daoism. This has been a process of gradually abstracting the essence. Daoist philosophy is the marrow of Chinese civilization. --- 𝙌: 𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙝𝙖𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙏𝙖𝙤𝙞𝙨𝙩 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙥𝙩 𝙤𝙛 "𝙏𝙖𝙤 𝙁𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙬𝙨 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚" 𝙞𝙣𝙛𝙡𝙪𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙛 𝙊𝙧𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙨 𝙖𝙧𝙩? A: I believe the entire BTC ecosystem, including Ordinals and Taoist philosophy, aligns perfectly. The concept of "Tao Follows Nature" is reflected in how we approach the market. From a market perspective, it means leaving things to the free market. Ordinals doesn’t have a foundation supporting the projects, so it naturally follows the flow of the market, allowing it to decide which art will emerge as the most outstanding. In terms of creation, since the outcome depends on the market’s response, artists are more likely to heed the voice of the market. That’s why, before creating, I fully allowed the market and Ordinals collectors to guide the direction. Before the first collection, Bitcoinxiuxianog, was created, I actually produced seven different styles of art, including ink painting, watercolor, heavy color, line drawing, and more. Ultimately, collectors chose an abstract style similar to Puppet OMB, which is inspired by Qi Baishi's ink style. A: I think our two theme songs are the best representation of this. "Make XiuXian Great Again On MotherChain" and "FuluTalisman". In the lyrics, we primarily use English to appeal to a global audience, but we also mix in some Chinese, either for rhyme or as interludes to maintain continuity. In terms of composition, we use Western pop music, but the arrangement incorporates many Chinese instruments, including traditional opera tones and Taoist vocal techniques. Mixing is an artistic technique that requires a deep understanding of both modern and traditional cultures, and I believe I am quite good at it. But it takes time to accumulate knowledge. I’ve studied traditional culture since I was young, but at the same time, I’m also a fan of modern culture—whether it’s pop music, anime, girl groups, or rap, I have a broad understanding of them. --- 𝙌: 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙨𝙞𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙙𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙨𝙚𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙩𝙬𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘽𝙏𝘾? A: In fact, they are very similar. People often say that BTC is a cult or that BTC is consensus, but it's not deep enough. The Bitcoin network is like a decentralized religious temple in the information world. It’s a sanctuary. As stated in Chapter 2 of the *Tao Te Ching*: "The sage does not act, yet everything is accomplished. He acts without speaking, and all things come to life without claiming ownership. He produces, yet does not possess. He achieves, yet does not dwell on success." Isn’t this exactly what Satoshi Nakamoto embodies? Chapter 34 of the *Tao Te Ching* also says: "The great Tao flows everywhere, to the left and to the right. All things rely on it to live, yet it does not claim ownership. It nurtures all things but does not control them. It is desireless, and can be called small. All things return to it but do not recognize its name; it can be called great. Because it does not consider itself great, it achieves greatness." This describes the BTC ecosystem perfectly. For a religion to be formed, it needs gods, a founder (Satoshi Nakamoto), a core philosophy (decentralization), sacred texts (Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System), a temple (the Bitcoin network), and priests (shamans—now, I think, even Taoist priests). The only missing part is the godly figure, and this is something we need to complete. The term "people" was brought to prominence by our founding leader, Mao Zedong. He harnessed the power of the people to defeat feudal landlords, bureaucratic capitalists, the comprador class, the Nationalist government, foreign invaders, and the allied forces of over ten countries, including the United States. The community is the people, and it comes from the people and returns to the people. All actions must be rooted in the people. Our creations involve community participation at every stage. Our progress is synchronized with the community daily. Every builder voluntarily joins the community, and all our funds come from the market and ourselves. Product development is also decided by the community. Of course, I will make critical decisions and provide guidance at each stage. Leaving everything to the community would lead to chaos and disorder. A: When an Ordinals project is rooted in the community, its vitality becomes intrinsically linked to the community. The talent, activity level, organizational ability, mission, and strategic capabilities of the community members determine the project's vitality. My practical approach is Xiandao. Since childhood, I have studied national governance, historical books, and my major is management, focusing on complex systems. The design of Xiandao has been in the works for three years, and we started the Alpha test two years ago. The entire Alpha test lasted two years, maintaining a group of around 50 people, with constant turnover until we recently entered the Beta version. Xiandao is very complex. In fact, I shared these ideas at a Chinese forum event. The general idea is to establish a universal intellectual labor mining mechanism and use gamified design to turn your IP fans into players who then transform into Builders, increasing overall systemic collaboration. This collaboration will prompt the organization to produce more products and achievements, gaining more IP fans and converting them into Builders.
