This one tends to be quite popular
YOU! PALEOARTIST!. Show me your art of dinosaurs and people coexisting. (Can be any other prehistoric animal. Can be mounts, pets, an animals that farmers like having around because it helps the ecosystem, or the more realistic dinosaurs hunting humans in spec evo)

Painting of achillobator for @Beast_SculptKit . Painting a large dromaeosaur like this was incredibly fun. I particularly enjoyed the challenge of working it into a cold environment while making sure those warm tones still pop.

Had the honor of producing the illustrations for this wonderful paper on vegetation openness and composition before Homo sapiens in Europe. Special thanks and congratulations to the authors!
How open were European forests before strong human impacts? 🌳 Check out our new paper in Science Advances! Thanks to the team @JCSvenning @MazierFlorence @SigneNormand and many others, and to @BStokkermans for the beautiful illustrations!

I’ve seen many variations of theropod integument from bare heads to beaks but very rarely feathers all the way down the face. Seeing as they didn’t have beaks like birds I see no reason why this couldn’t be a possibility, so here’s a Tsaagan portrait depicting that. #dinosaurs

#HumanArtists here who really likes birds and dinosaurs 🦤.I’d like to see ai try and interpret scientific literature into an art piece. Paleoart feels like something it still can’t do as of yet if ever :))

A scansoriopterygid with a fully feathered dorsal membrane has been an idea in my head for a while. @VilleSinkkonen’s wonderful new fur brushes and a flight to the Netherlands gave me just the excuse to bring it to life.

#PaleoAgainstAI . Using AI imagery takes the heart and wonder of out that makes it such a magical genre. It’s the artist behind the image who marveled at an extinct animal now long gone that makes a piece of paleoart so impactful to me. Here is some of my own marveling vvv

“Nomads” .Two Terminocavus crest a windswept hill in the Cretaceous Kirkland formation. This painting is inspired by both the styles of great north American wildlife artist such as Carl rungius and the plein air works of artist like Edgar Payne. #paleoart #paleontology #dinosaur

Seeing small feathered therepods just being …regular animals in #PrehistoricPlanet had me tearing up.That exact thing is what made 15 year old me reignite his interest in dinosaurs and start paleoart

Actually let’s start a trend from this .Paleoartists show me your extant animal art vs your extinct ones . Extant vs. extinct art
I find it really interesting how paleoartists art of living animals compares to their extinct ones.Stylizations that aren’t based on anatomy come out and it gives a clearer picture of how that artist is interpreting that fossil.
