Forgot to add my favourite visualization of the project! Live tackle probability for nearby defenders
For our 2024 #BigDataBowl entry, @JavierMoG97 and I utilized a space control and quality approach to evaluate tackling. By taking a player's influence area as a bivariate normal (as proposed by @JaviOnData and @LukeBornn), we can compute a team's control on the field.
