Not excusing it. It’s Manchester United. It’s what you signed up for. It’s what you’re getting paid insane wages for. But I honestly have no idea why any united team would come out that flat on a cup night when there’s not a lot left to play for. The fans were up for it. Why did we look so poor? It’s basically the same players who beat arsenal and city… who went to anfield and got a point and made a statement. You can’t tell me it’s talent. The talent is there. Wish Rashford could have looked across the training ground and seen this man setting the example. The abuse he took in the end of 22/23 and through the summer leading into the 23/24 season was unreal. Went to the arsenal preseason game in New Jersey and he was laughed at and booed by most of the “United fans” sitting around us throughout the game. Being stripped of the captaincy and enduring an awful spell where his own fans turned against him he exemplified a captains mentality. Regardless of the offside he earned that Stretford end goal last night. Well done Harry. 👏🏻

Zirkzee has definitely improved since coming in. Enjoyed his play as a 10 in the second half. Think Hojlund is yet to be unlocked though. Would love if we played into space for him to run into more often. Especially if teams try to play a high line. Stop playing to his feet so he has to post up. Let him outpace everyone and see what he’s got.
