It has come to our notice that the initial Instagram page we created in 2021 has been deactivated (alongside the statement we put out) by someone other than us, who had access to it.

As best we could, we tried to shield Precious Gaza from what would be seen as a messy situation or a vendetta.
We hoped that she would come clean to the public and be accountable to those who love her and donated to her.

In total, all we have left on the GoFundMe—the funds we held back from sending to Precious—is £65.10.
We have not made a decision on what to do with these funds, but we are NOT planning to keep them as they do not belong to us.

Unfortunately, judging by her most recent update, she has chosen the route of avoidance and deflection.
In spite of this, we still are choosing to be measured in our approach, whilst also presenting the evidence/information that we have.

On 19th March 2021, we set out to raise $200,000.00 to cover the costs for Precious Gaza’s Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) surgery, and through your generous donations, £53,400.00 was raised via the GoFundMe platform, and 33,000,000.00 was raised in naira.

To clarify, on the 16th of July 2023 we received £19.17 from GoFundMe.
There’s also another transaction of £33.48 which has been initiated but has not been received in the account yet, and another £12.45 that is processing.

During this time, Precious Gaza continued to actively solicit more funds on TikTok, and so it didn’t look to us like the matter was being handled as quickly or efficiently as it should. Upon reaching out to Precious, she blocked some of us from viewing her social accounts....

When the campaign started, transparency and accountability were our fixed priorities, and the goal was to maintain this policy to the utmost extent. It is in that light that we would like to inform the general public that all the funds raised.....

As a next step, we decided to inform her family, who then asked us to wait while they tried to handle it internally. We thought it fair to give them that option.

As of 5th July 2023, Precious Gaza was in receipt of all donations made from the GoFundMe and naira donation channels up to that date. Following that, the GoFundMe page continued to receive some more donations. With respect to donations received after 5th July 2023....

Our reason for this is because during that time, we had reason to believe that the handed over funds were not being put to use for the purpose that they were donated; that is, the BMT. Upon further investigations, we found this to be true.
