OTD 2001: @bhsladyraiders holds off a last-second three-point attempt to beat LaSalle-Peru 35-33 at the Robert Frank Sports Complex North Gym. Jenny Walz scores a career high 15 points, and Tashika Kindle had 10 with six rebounds.

OTD 1990: @BHSRaiderFB will be represented by linebacker Jason Keene at the Illinois High School Football Coaches’ Association Shrine All-Star Game in July. Keene will play for the East squad when the game takes place on July 28 at @RedbirdFB's Hancock Stadium

OTD 2001: Hitting 13 out of 20 free throws in the fourth quarter, boys' basketball wins at Morton 56-46. Dion Brown led the way with 17 points, Matt Havens had 13, & Ardell Adams added 11 points with 12 rebounds.

OTD 1983: Boys' swim & dive wins at Urbana 74-47. Todd Hovenden (160 IM, 100 breast) and Dave Esaw (60 free, 100 free) are double winners. Also winning are the 160-medley relay, Sam Van Scoyoc (500 free), Jack Walker (100 back), and 400 free relay.

OTD 1995: @BHSGirlsBowling is 7th with 3996 pins in Morris Sectional at Echo Lanes. Michelle Kirk had a 6-game total of 931 but did not qualify for state. Vicki Caldwell had 859, Jessica Burrell 731, Missy Backlund rolled 636, Kristy Brown & Amy Demlow combine for 839.

OTD 1993: @BHSRaiderWrestl is represented on the area honor roll as Aaron Fischbach (125, 28-7), Barry Rust (171, 30-5), and Rob Chicoine (189, 24-6) all lead area AA wrestlers in their weight classes. Rust is 3rd with 15 pins, & 4th with 80 takedowns. Charles Carr is 5th at 67.

OTD 2006: @bhsladyraiders forces 27 turnovers in a 63-46 win over Urbana in Big 12 play at Robert Frank Sports Complex North Gym. Kristin Petrinec had 18 pts w/11 rbs, Lovie McClom scored 14, & Shelby Parker 11 pts for BHS.

OTD 1989: Among the area leaders for boys' basketball, Ken Gibson is second in scoring average at 23.2 per game (463 points in 20 games) and plus has the most three-point field goals with 63.

OTD 1989: Boys' swim & dive wins their 10th straight InterCity title in a double dual (downs NCHS 63-19 & U-High 42-41). Winners include Jon Stump (200 free & 500 free), the 200 medley relay of Scott Walker, Ted Waterson, Derek Rush, & Jim O'Neal, plus O'Neal in the 100 free.

OTD 2024: @BHSGirlsBowling wins 1221-937 over the Decatur Eisenhower-MacArthur co-op in a 2-game dual at Twin City Lanes. Zoe Pelaez Ramirez led w/260 series, Alexa Evans 259, Grace Johnson 255, Morgan Hart 254, & Aolani Pelaez Ramirez had 203. Zoe also had high game of 151.

OTD 1999: @bhsladyraiders wins over Normal Community, 61-34. Tiffany Hosea had 22 for the Lady Raiders and Beth Drake added 17 in the win. Hosea and Tisha Gunn also had nine rebounds for BHS.

OTD 2001: Yale Fillingham has the fastest times in 4 events on this week's area Honor Roll for boys' swim & dive. Fillingham leads in the 200 free, 200 IM, 100 fly, and 100 free. Teammates Tony Bray had the best score in six dives & Matt Hug is the fastest in the 500 free.

OTD 1992: @BHSGirlsBowling is 2nd in Taylorville Invitational with 4261 pins, holding off the host school by 11 pins & Decatur MacArthur by 48. Terri Troxel led BHS with a 1002 6-game series, Melissa Rapp 862, Nicole Henson 839, Michelle Kirk 804, & Shelly Troxel added 754.

OTD 1997: Girls' basketball was defeated by Normal West 55-41 at the Robert Frank Sports Complex North Gym. Current BHS assistant coach Athena Gant had 17 in the loss and Tiffany Hosea grabbed 11 rebounds for the @bhsladyraiders.
