I’ll keep saying this about AJ: he’s gotten way too much criticism this year for the teams struggles. I’m not saying he is free of criticism, but when Akins and Walker aren’t hitting their shots either it’s pretty difficult to win. AJ will build on this for sure 💯

I don’t think we need to read too deep into this. For a month Auburn had been in contact with Thorne, and they probably were always a Plan B. The staff probably was straight up and said they were feeling Kim more, so Payton went somewhere he was guaranteed a starting job.
