Blessing update. We are delighted to tell you that Blessing is actually called Jazz & has been reunited with her very worried owners! Jazz is indeed 24 years old, is very much loved and looked after by her lovely owners who we now know regularly take her to the vets for checkups.

We are delighted to tell you that Nemo survived the first critical 48 hours despite his horrific ordeal. Most of you will remember that on Sunday Night Nemo was found on the lakeside at Peel Park barely alive, wet through, cold and bleeding.

Cyprus Update
Cyprus has been with us just 6 days following a horiffic dog attack resulting in several broken bones and Bone Infection.
Despite this ordeal she dragged herself back to her kittens in the garage she was living, and continued to look after them.

You may remember Cyprus who was rescued a few days ago and we were contacted to see if we could help.
Cyprus was living in a garage workshop and had given birth to kittens just days before she was viciously attacked by a dog, fracturing multiple bones in her legs.

Sweet William Update.
It's just 2 days since Sweet William had major Orthopaedic surgery at Leeds Veterinary Centre to repair his very broken leg.
Other injuries he sustained were a fractured pelvis in 5 places too.
Just look at him stood up eating his dinner this evening.
It's been a very long day for Sweet William.
He has spent the day at Leeds Veterinary Centre with Orthopaedic Specialist James who have rebuilt Williams very broken leg
The surgery was much more complicated than expected & the fracture too extensive for a "simple" pin & plate.

Mango Update.
We are delighted to tell you after 6 weeks of intensive and loving care Baby Mango is fighting fit and has been adopted today.

Many of you will remember Mango who arrived with us 18 days ago.
Mango was taken to a vets in Bradford as a stray dumped in a garden.
Initial thoughts were that he had mild flu , an ear infection, constipation and deaf.

Mildred Update from Sunday..
What a difference 72 hours can make.. we picked her up lifeless, struggling to breathe, severely malnourished and dehydrated, subnormal temperature and glucose levels for 60 hours.. and just look at her now.

Lifeless, cyanosed and barely breathing little Nemo really suffered at the hands of monsters but thankfully he is well on the road to recovery now.

Rosa now has NO bandages on her legs.
Our next challenge over the coming weeks and months is to address the full thickness burns on her head and the "tightnes" around her eyes preventing her from blinking.

It's been 4 days since we rescued little Shirley from a household waste site in Bradford.
She was hypothermic, dehydrated, barely alive, was likely bitten by a rat on her head, fell down a 30 ft shaft....and just look her 72 hours later.

In the last week he has started putting weight on, his coat is healthier, the burns are healing and nothing terrible has shown up in his blood work.

Our first arrivals of 2024.
As many were ringing the New Year these 9 kittens were found by a Street Angel tied up in a pillowcase down an alleyway in Bradford city centre. They were absolutely soaking wet, hypoglycemic and hypothermic, and only one had a detectable temperature.

Istan is around 9 weeks old.
Istan was handed to a police officer working in Bradford City Centre this afternoon. The person who handed him to to the officer asked her to hold the kitten for 5 mins... 2 hours later they didnt return.

It is just 24 hours since Eucalyptus arrived with us.
Our brave boy, against the odds is still fighting hard to survive.
Eucalyptus is taking his feeds relatively well every hour though he remains very anaemic, malnourished and dehydrated.

Mini Cheddar has been with us now for 3 days and is slowly improving. His blood glucose, temperature and hydration are much better and mobility is improved too.
MC remains in intensive care on our Critical Care Ward.
New arrival at Bradford Cat Watch Rescue & Sanctuary. This is Mini Cheddar. MC is possibly around 5 weeks old however is very underweight about the same as a 2 week old kitten.
He was found by a member of the public and we were told he was taped up in a box at the side of a park.

When she arrived she was barely conscious, hypothermic, dehydrated and unable to eat or pee/poop.

38 days ago little Orbit arrived with us weighing just 200g. 9 days after arrival Orbit’s eye literally exploded! The eye was removed during emergency surgery and the following week he was on strong pain relief anc antibiotics.

Snowball was an unwanted pet due to allergies and lack of time commitment.
She was originally bought from a breeder for £500 as a British Short Haired kitten.
It turns out not only is she NOT a BSH kitten, she also has mildflu, and is deaf!

Just 19 days after Hero Nemo was left fighting for his life, he has amazingly been given a clean bill of health.
Today he had his remaining stitches removed, and started his big boy Vaccination programme.

Look at little Meadow in her new Boob Tube at Bradford Cat Watch Rescue & Sanctuary. Meadow is now 15 weeks old and has been with us 10 weeks.
When Meadow first came to us she had been bathed in bleach as her owners believed it woukd deal with her flea infestation.

This is little Peridot.
Peridot was taken into a vets as she was desperately ill.
Her vets contacted us to see if we could help. She weighs only 300 grams, is malnourished and has cat flu.
She is currently being barrier nursed around the by volunteers in our critical care ward.

Our little Bleach Baby Meadow has been with Bradford Cat Watch Rescue & Sanctuary 40 days now. Her wounds / chemical burns are slowly starting to heal now and on Tuesday we removed the feeding tube.

Mini Cheddar update.
From Intensive Care to Foster Care - look who has found his voice!
After arriving with us barely alive 11 days ago, MC is certainly a fighter.
He loves his Harriet Heartbeat and his new bed from his friends at Ginger Cat Crafts.
Update! 🧀
Mini Cheddar has been with us now for 3 days and is slowly improving. His blood glucose, temperature and hydration are much better and mobility is improved too.
MC remains in intensive care on our Critical Care Ward.

Rosa update.
Rosa has been to the vets today for her daily review, dressing changes, blood tests and re- placement of her cannuka fir intravenous fluids.
Rosa was such a brave girl and today even ate a little chicken soaked in Royal Canin Recovery Liquid.
