In order to allow the site to be made safe there will be a delayed start tomorrow, 19 March 2018. Students should arrive for 10am and go straight to P2. Students should not arrive on the school site before 9.30am. Please wear sensible footwear, as many pavements are icy.

Update on the student tested for suspected Coronavirus after displaying cold-like symptoms. We are pleased to confirm that results are negative and the student has been given the all clear. This is obviously a big relief for the student and all involved.

Unfortunately, school will remain closed on Friday 2 March 2018 due to conditions on the school site and surrounding roads. We will attempt to clear the site on Friday, ready for next Monday. If anyone has a JCB/tractor/snow plough your help would be gratefully received.

Congratulations to Year 13 who have won the Sheffield Hallam University Prom Competition. They have successfully secured £5000 worth of events management to ensure that the Year 13 Prom enables our students to leave Brookfield on a high. Well done, we are very proud of you all!

Josh, one of our talented Y10 students who had success with swimming to support his physiotherapy, was spotted by Paralympic coaches as having real potential. For the last year and a half he had regular training with Paralympic coaches in Manchester and excelling. Well done Josh!

Further to the statement yesterday regarding suspected Coronavirus, we can confirm that the family are still awaiting results of tests. When further information is available, we will be in further contact with all parents. In the meantime the advice remains as previously stated.

Day 2 of skiing is over and everyone is making amazing progress. The advanced group are learning to carve by using their edge; the beginner group have almost mastered the snowplough turn and the intermediate group are starting to parallel turn.

Brookfield teams were out in force last week at the Redhill Academy Trust KS4 Winter Games at Hall Park Academy, Eastwood.
Our netball team were crowned Trust Champions, the footballers came second, as did our Badminton team. Congratulations to all involved!

Skiing is over for BCS in 2019. All 61 students have enjoyed learning many new skills, including their ability to ski, the importance of perseverance, teamwork and positivity!

Day 3 of skiing is over and everyone is making great progress. The beginner groups have advance onto the mountain and have mastered the chair lift; the intermediate group are parallel turning and the advance group have been learning to ski on one leg!
