The sheer richness and diversity of a wild kelp forest truly has to be seen to be believed, it's so mind-blowing. Just incredible to think there are those who sought to profit from destroying such a wondrous ecosystem. This new film portrays the world that would have been lost.
A new movie on the campaign to save the kelp seaweed forest in Bantry Bay premiered in West Cork. @cronin_siobhan spoke to Dolf D'hont @BBKelpForest, a campaigner to save the kelp forest, who features in Forest Beneath the Waves. Read more in this Thursday's Southern Star.
