There have been far too many meek performances by Spurs this season - some, after really positive results. Doesnāt say much for their mindset. Still, the meek will apparently inherit the earth, which is an unexpected way for Ange to bring back the glory days.

VAR announcements have always been tokenistic. Pointless after the decisionās already known. If the authorities really want fans in the stadium to know whatās going on, show the replays.

More Heart and grit today. Almost twice in the same month! Slightly troubling that Ange attributed it to necessity, but at least he said he resisted the temptation to rush Van de Ven this time - regardless of what the player wanted..
Maybe not the entertainment Ange lives for, but it didnāt need to be. Tottenhamās heart, determination and grit earned a great win. What a debut by Kinsky and what an occasion for Bergvallās first goal when some were on empty. A consummate team performance with players to return.

Micky van de Ven starts for Spurs against Elfsborg in the Europa League tonight. It is the 23yo defender's first appearance since December 8. Van de Ven partners Archie Gray at centre-back with Radu Dragusin on the bench.

While I was researching something else, I came across articles from 1991, after Spurs had won the FA Cup, about the club stopping season tickets sales because their financial plight was so critical they didnāt know if there would be a team to watch. It can always be worse

No point sacking Ange with three big cup games coming up - not that thatās stopped Daniel Levy in the pastā¦ Ange deserves a shot with a fit squad - although itās no better than one that would finish above seventh, in my opinion.

For anyone watching in black and white, Spurs had five forwards on the pitch throughout the second half but looked more dangerous in the first. Arsenalās control completely blunted them. Anyone citing fatigue might remember the complacency that forced all 5 to feature vs Tamworth
