I believe the artist agrees to a certain number of platinum seats as part of their deal to book a venue. Some artists don't have any platinum seats because that wasn't part of their deal w/ TM, but they likely have to pay more for the venue as a result.

WJ's situation was relatively quiet. In JP's case, there was a conversation about him coming back about half a year after the incident & then JYP suddenly said that his contract was terminated due to something else "unforgivable" to which he also referred as a "personal mistake."

For some, their priorities in life have changed.. some weren't able to connect after BTS changed their sound, some left because of issues w/in the fandom, etc. I don't think any of them dislike BTS & most hold fond memories of being armys, but just no longer actively participate.

Also, JP's situation was just overall really messy and loud. Lots of fighting on kpop forums. Somebody who allegedly was JP's pastor getting involved at some point... 6 months of that circus culminating in JP's termination which was supported by 2PM & led to boycotts of 2PM merch

I'm pretty sure they misled on purpose for the Japanese release. They made it seem like HJ would be part of it - coz that way they could sell way more - but didn't ship his PCs, so no one could accuse them of supporting somebody supposedly involved in bad behavior.

It's really bad because they rarely release prices in advance, so you wouldn't even know if you're overpaying for your ticket.
It was most noticeable when standard tix for NCT dropped in price by nearly 50% after just a couple of hours. Whoever bought tix right away overpaid.
