Today is my last day as a staffer for The Labour Party. It’s been a wild two and a half years! Learnt a hell of a lot and had the privilege of working with some truly phenomenal people (including the indefatigable @BethFosterOgg ). Now for the next chapter 🌹

Turning 29 on the 29th... I’m lucky enough to have my birthday on the UN Day of International Solidarity with the Palestinian People. I pray one day I’ll be celebrating the end of the occupation and the right of return 🇵🇸 #PalestineDay

The establishment have been attacking Stop the War because they want revenge. For years the organisation has been an uncomfortable reminder of when they too used spurious grounds to legitimise an illegal invasion and occupation of a sovereign country.

Regardless of what you think about Venezuelan politics, can someone please tell the BBC that when the U.S tries to decide who is and who isn't the President of a country by just declaring it, this isn't a good or democratic thing. This mornings coverage is farcical.

You can’t be a proud trade unionist AND go to Rupert Murdoch’s cocktail parties. Just saying.

If Maurice is not fit to be a Labour MP then nobody is. He is exactly the kind of person any decent social democratic party would be encouraging to stand for them in an election, not blocking. They have done this because he is popular with members & left-wing.

Last night, I was blocked from standing to be the next Labour MP for Camberwell & Peckham. I'm gutted. The Party is saying it has no place for an anti-racist socialist like me in Parliament. Thank you so much to all those who supported & worked on my campaign. My statement:

The meltdown liberal pundits are having because some writers decided they didn’t want to speak at events sponsored by oil & arms funders is the same meltdown people had about the South Africa boycott. It’s just these people like to think they would’ve been on the right side

The thing is, we all know that if the US called for a ceasefire then Labour would in an instant. Which goes to show this has literally nothing to do with the reality on the ground or any kind of humanitarian principles and everything to do with geopolitical posturing.

Just listened to a @BBCRadio4 report on Nick Boles MP splitting from his local Tory branch. The word deselection was not used once. It was reported as a reasoned policy based disagreement. Local members were not demonised. We are beyond bias, it’s much more sinister

It is pretty incredible how Boris Johnson burnt to the ground a project that could have seen him governing for a decade just so he could get pissed with interns.

The BBC gave these organisations free reign. If you aren’t transparent about who funds you, you should not be allowed on a public broadcaster.
