Today, on National Missing Persons Day, we pause to honor the millions of families affected by the disappearance of loved ones and to renew our commitment to finding those who remain missing. In the United States alone, approximately 600,000 missing persons cases are reported each year through the National Crime Information Center (NCIC), a figure that encompasses both children and adults. In Canada, approximately 70,000 individuals are reported missing annually—a reminder that this is not just a local issue but a cross-border concern demanding unified attention. These numbers, while sobering, also underscore the critical need for community vigilance, robust law enforcement support, and the sustained work of dedicated organizations committed to reuniting families. Every missing person is more than just a statistic—they are a loved one whose absence leaves an indelible impact on families and communities. Join us in advocating for increased resources, improved strategies, and stronger community partnerships so that every missing person can be found and every family can have the answers they deserve. #NationalMissingPersonsDay #FindThem #CommunityMatters #SupportTheSearch

MISSING CHILD – PLEASE SHARE Authorities in Muncie, Indiana, are searching for 9-year-old Hayden Manis, who was last seen in January 2020 when he was just 4 years old. His family only recently learned that he has been missing for five years. Hayden is described as having brown hair and blue eyes. At the time of his disappearance, he was approximately 3’4” tall and weighed 50 pounds. Hayden’s father had custody of him, but when police conducted a welfare check on September 5, 2024, they were unable to locate the boy. His father provided false information about Hayden’s whereabouts and was named a person of interest before passing away from a drug overdose on December 5, 2024. If you have any information on Hayden’s whereabouts, please contact the Delaware County Sheriff’s Investigations Division at (765) 747-7881. Help bring Hayden home—please share! #MissingChild #HaydenManis #MuncieIN #Indiana #BringHaydenHome #EndangeredMissing

🚨🚨 MISSING CHILD – PLEASE SHARE 🚨🚨 Gabriel was abducted from Tempe, Arizona, on December 18, 2009, by his mother, Elizabeth Johnson, who drove him to San Antonio, Texas. After arriving on December 22 and staying at local motels, Gabriel was last seen with Elizabeth on December 27. That same day, she departed San Antonio by bus—leaving behind her grandfather’s car—and failed to appear at a scheduled custody hearing in Arizona, prompting a custodial interference warrant. Shortly thereafter, Elizabeth was arrested in Miami Beach, Florida, on December 30, though Gabriel was not in her custody. Around the time of his disappearance, Gabriel’s father, Logan Scott McQueary, received alarming text messages from Elizabeth falsely claiming that Gabriel had been killed. Elizabeth later contended that she had arranged a closed adoption for Gabriel with a couple she met in a San Antonio park, though the details she provided were vague. The couple, known as Tammi Peters Smith and Jack Smith, had spent several weeks with Gabriel and became persons of interest when McQueary accused them of pressuring him to relinquish his parental rights. In February 2010, Tammi was arrested on charges including forgery and custodial interference, and was eventually convicted in May 2012. Private investigator Ken Gamble later theorized that Gabriel might still be alive, having been given away or sold through an underground adoption network in San Antonio. Although Elizabeth reportedly confessed to Gabriel’s murder during a jailhouse interview, inconsistencies in her statements and concerns regarding her mental health have complicated the legal proceedings. In October 2012, Elizabeth was convicted of custodial interference and unlawful imprisonment and sentenced to just over five years in prison, receiving credit for time already served; she was released in July 2014. Gabriel’s whereabouts remain unknown, and authorities continue to investigate his disappearance as a kidnapping and possible homicide. February is Black History Month, and while we honor the contributions of Black individuals throughout history, we must also acknowledge the ongoing crisis of MISSING Black men, women, and children. Did you know that Black people make up nearly 40% of all missing persons cases in the U.S., despite only representing about 13% of the population? Yet, these cases often receive far less media coverage and public attention than their white counterparts. Families searching for their missing loved ones deserve the same urgency, resources, and awareness. This month, we are committed to amplifying their voices, sharing their stories, and fighting for the justice they deserve. Please help us by sharing missing persons flyers, keeping these cases in the public eye, and supporting efforts to bring every missing person home. Together, we can make a difference. #BeTheChange

Arianna Fitts was just a little girl, born on September 6, 2013, with big brown eyes and a bright smile. At the time of her disappearance, she was only 2 feet tall and weighed 45 pounds. In early 2016, Arianna was last seen with her mother in Oakland, California. On April 5, 2016, Arianna was reported missing from the San Francisco area. Just days later, her mother, Nicole Fitts, was tragically found murdered and buried in a public park in San Francisco. It’s heartbreaking to think that Arianna was not with her mother when this tragedy occurred. Despite tireless efforts to find her, Arianna’s whereabouts remain a mystery. Her family, loved ones, and all those searching for her are left with an emptiness that only a missing child can bring. If you have any information about where Arianna might be, please contact the San Francisco Police Department at (415) 553-0123. Every piece of information brings us one step closer to bringing this sweet girl home. #FindAriannaFitts #MissingChild #HelpBringAriannaHome #AriannaFitts #MissingSince2016 #NeverStopSearching #JusticeForNicoleFitts #MissingPerson #SpreadTheWord #HopeForArianna
