Two days to the year, I almost took my own life after feeling under valued, not fitting in and the stresses of the job. I didn’t do it as I wrote this to myself. Since then, I have had a diagnosis, raised awareness of ND and helped people 💙

Suppose to be off at 10pm, attended cardiac arrests, 10-1 shout, intruders on, etc. off late already. A homeless child comes to the station and I am told there is no one to take over so I have to deal. Looks like I am not going home.

Today we received a report of drug dealing in a car park. I respond quickly as the people are present. Quick reaction resulted in 2 x detained with a vehicle. Transpired it’s the same driver 7 days ago I arrested smoking drugs again. They never learn!

It is a hard fight for anyone to get an assessment for a diagnosis. But when you do it is worth it so you can finally understand how you and your brain works. This little dude aka “Sir” / “Guv” / “Boss” is an inspiration to all those with or without ND. Keep up the great work!
2 years ago, I finally got my autism diagnosis. It was a very difficult journey and I’m so glad my parents fought so hard for me, and they still do 🌈🌈
