The fingers, to me, look like something straight from AI. Religious iconography should be done in prayer and inspire awe and veneration. I would not venerate this statue. It's disrespectful to the Bl. Carlo.
I don’t like this statue. But when I think of why I can't come up with a compelling reason. Is it because he's wearing modern clothes, well that's not very good. Is it because unlike most religious statues he doesn't appear to be praying? ... Is it because ... well, go on. You tell me why. Or why I'm wrong not to like it.
