I did not know this. I will be honest, I am very new to the ecosystem. I have been hearing about @Stacks and $STX for sometime now. I noticed I was able to buy $STX on @cronos_chain via @VVS_finance which got me committed to trying out the @Stacks ecosystem. I bought some and bridged out of Cronos to the @cryptocom app then back out to the Stacks network. I have been using @planbetter_ for delegating my $STX. I have no preference, I forget where I found them. Perhaps one of the Stacks ecosystem websites. I am glad you brought up the point about fees! I will look into this!

As @cronos_chain proposes a reduction in the #Cronos EVM base gas price by 25% with voting set for February 14, 2025, it underscores the importance of voting rights for delegators. It's crucial for delegators to engage in discussions with the validators they are delegating to, ensuring their interests are represented in this vote! This proposal might create a misalignment, where delegators, who typically seek lower transaction costs (because delegators are primarily end users), could find themselves at odds with validators who might benefit from higher gas fees and thus vote against the reduction. Is your validator making sure you have an opportunity to be heard? If not, you should at least find out how they intend to vote! #Crofam
This new governance proposal aims to make Cronos EVM even more competitive for users and developers by reducing transaction fees by up to 25%.

Not necessarily looking for good news. Would be nice to hear an update on the IBC side of things. As far as the zkEVM side, the broader Ethereum ecosystem is pushing for L2s to fully utilize Ethereum’s services. Cronos uses settlement and data availability. My question is, is there any intention of working to become an L2 with based sequencing and/or native execution?

This is accurate. Luckily, there are other ways for rollups to help Ethereum win.

@portport255 Ok, that is exactly what I was asking. So decentralization of sequencing on chain is still amazing news! Out of curiosity, I understand being native isnt possible. But is it possible for a zk roll-up to become based? Hypothetically speaking of course.
