My position on these really is that if you can't build a Real tram, just buy some battery electric articulated buses Australia has gotten very good at manufacturing them over the decades, we know how to drive and maintain them, and they do 96% the same job as whatever this is

This is a niche post, but I've always found it incredibly funny that US Light Rail systems actually have heavier rail (bigger physical rails designed to take larger trains) than mainline railways in Australia that have high speed passenger and big freight trains

Shepparton is about 200 kilometres from Melbourne, and receives 5 weekday and 3 weekend return services to Southern Cross. From later this year it will receive 9 return services on weekdays Just another example of Victoria's excellent regional rail network, all for just $9.20
