Manton scored the first 10 points of the 2nd half to extend their run to 20-2 & build a 38-13 lead midway through the 3rd qtr. McBain outscored them 24-18 the rest of the way, but couldn't put a significant dent into the gap. Manton avenges their earlier loss in decisive fashion, 56-37. Sr Angela Porter (pictured-l), soph Aubrey Hiller (pictured-c), & fr Lilian Chittle (pictured-r) combined for 45 of Manton's 56 points. Hiller set the tone with her aggressiveness defensively & her poise offensively; she was on pace for a triple-double at half & ended with a well-rounded 17 points, 9 assists, 8 steals, & 5 rebounds. Chittle hit big shots early to get Manton rolling with 10 of her 14 in the 1st half. And, Porter used her length to amass 14 points, 7 rebounds, & 3 blocked shots. 5'10" jr Peyton Grant was forced to handle the ball a lot against Manton's pressure & was held to just 2 points as Manton had their help focused on her on every touch on the perimeter, but Grant had game-highs in rebounds (11) & blocks (5). Jr Mikayla Blood came off the bench to lead McBain with 7 points.
