Today we had a minutes silence for Gerry Bates who has been a long time follower of Ashville Football club. A Seacombe Lad who loved football. Watching Ashville on a Saturday followed by his beloved Joeys on a Sunday morning.

3-2 win for the lads, wasn’t pretty but 3 points is all that matters v a very talented Ellesmere Port side. Played some brilliant stuff first 30 mins, but nothing much after that until the final 10. Coming back from 2-1 down to win 3-2. Lads showed great character tonight.

Unbelievably proud of the lads who ran @MerseyRoyal1st all the way until the end, and were unlucky not to get one at the end but the save from Brooksy was top drawer! 1-0 to the Royal it finished who are the best team about for me, stacked with class footballers & good people!.

Ashville 5-2 @Poulton_VicsFC . Wow, what a first 25 minutes from us today - the best we’ve played all season. Culminated in us taking a 3-0 lead at half time. Second half was even with both sides battling and showing touches of quality. Made up to get through to the next round!.

1-0 win for us this evening in a close game against @HeswallFC_ not the greatest of games on the eye but both sides showed a lot of endeavour and commitment. We worked unbelievably hard for the win and more so the clean sheet. Back 4 were tremendous, and the keeper.

2-1 win tonight v a much improved @MossleyHill_FC . Down to 10 men after 5 minutes was a massive blow but the lads showed their class and character to go on and get 2 goals in the first half! Chances missed second half, and they got one back to make it tense. Important 3 points!.

Not the way us or Helsby would have wanted it and really feel for the vics lads who have been brilliant all season and in my opinion deserve to be champions, but we will both take it - and focus is already on next season and the massive challenge it will bring.

…and just like that it is back. We are excited to start life in @WestCheshireLge Div 1 tomorrow evening with a trip to @eptfc - sure to be a tough game, but one we are looking forward to. The lads are more then up for it, and I am excited to see what they can do this season!.

Yesterday’s triumph in the Cheshire now sees us at home to current holders and div 1 runaway leaders @MerseyRoyal1st in the semi final. Best side about for me, be great for our lads to come up against them. Glyn and the royal have set the bar the last few years, tough game ahead!.

Hot one out there, a lot better from us today, much more like it from the lads we have here and the standard we set ourselves on a weekly basis!. Handled the tough conditions well, kept the ball and clinical in the final third. 5-1 win for us, and it’s been a decent start!.

4-1 today for us against a resolute @ssbfc2001 who took a deserved lead and we probably got away with one being 3-1 up at half time. Massively depleted, injuries and the schedule killing us but the lads reacted well to going a goal down and a massive 3 points for us. 9 to go!.

No league game this weekend but all attention is now on Easter Monday and the final v Hooton. Had some tough games with them over the years whilst at Unitor and I am sure this will be exactly the same, especially with their pedigree in this competition. 11 KO at home!.⚪️⚫️

Scruffy 2-1 win for us against a hard working @AintreeVilla22 tough conditions for both sides. Last man - red card and free kick changed the game. Dega scores the resulting free kick and then scores a winner in stoppage time. Not at our best today but 3 points all that matters!.

2-0 away win against a good @RuncornSportsFC who have been flying all season at home. Early sending off at 1-0 didn’t help the game flow but both sides battled second half and we come away with the much needed 3 points. Best of luck to Runcorn for the rest of the season 👍🏼.

Much more like it from us today - . 6-1 win against an unlucky @RemycaRes, raced into a 3-0 lead in the first half and never looked back. Clinical within the first hour and had spells of dominance v a very good side. Disappointed to concede the goal but they deserved their goal!.

Entertaining game today away to @marshalls_fc . 5-4 win for us in the end, thought it was comfortable after 80 minutes being 5-2 up but fair play to them, they stuck right at it and could have very easily nicked a point at the end. Good luck for the rest of the season lads 👍🏼.

3-1 against a very good @HBKelmaFC side!. Made up to be in the last 8 of the Cheshire cup, was a tough day for both sides in them conditions but we done enough to get in the next round. Got into a great position 3-0 up but Kelma rallied well late on and got a deserved goal!.

Never easy losing a game like that last night, long wait until next Wednesday to try and put things right. The lads have won every game possible since August 17th, and are competing strongly on 4 fronts, with 2 finals ahead and a Cheshire Cup quarter final at home looming.

Gerry would spend every Saturday evening playing in a card school in the corner of the club. He always said it how it was, if a player was rubbish he would certainly let him know. He will be much missed around the ground on a Saturday afternoon but his memory will forever live on.
