I think it's just the color palette of shows being lighter in general. You'll notice something like this or Young Justice or even Teen Titans tends to use harsher blacks and darker, more saturated colors in comparison to something like Invincible or My Adventures With Superman

I don't mind minimalism but I personally dislike the new firefox logo. I don't like the switch from blue to purple and why isn't it a globe anymore? Good example of minimalism is the new Pringles guy. People were so up in arms about it but he honestly looks way better imho

My least favorite thing is when characters will fall in love with eachother out of fucking NOWHERE. No build up. No romantic chemistry. Just one episode they're friends and the next BOOM undying love. They pulled that shit in Dragon Prince, and Kipo (though to a lesser extent)
