Acting takes YEARS to get a career going, let alone be comfortable enough in your skills to start charging for it.
Use real voice actors. Pay for the ones you want, or cast unpaid actors looking to build a portfolio

This was a highly competitive audition (I thought I had no chance), my very first paid VG role, AND the first game I got a physical copy for (playstation baby!). I think there were 3 rounds of callbacks?

This here, however, is something to avoid.
Weekly time commitments, equipment requirements, and the ask for "experienced actors" for NO PAY is absolutely not ok.

As someone who picked up my life to live in an (expensive) hub, I realize how much of that is privilege; I’m not far from family, plus I have the financial means.
There are so many remote actors who would fucking crush it out here, and I wish them all the opportunities we get 🧡
Wasn’t sure how to word this and not seem entitled or complaining but I’d be lying if I didn’t admit I’m constantly anxious with VO. Being remote, unrepped, in an area with no hubs or connections makes me feel like im running with no breaks. I love my job and the work I’ve done -
