@DirectorJTS @Noahpinion The problem is that the forces of infrastructural sclerosis are all major democrat special interests. (Environmental lawyers and lobbyists, NGOs, consultants, labor unions, social justice activists, bureaucrats, permitting lawyers, etc)

@AeonCoin @Noahpinion It deserves to be clowned so that it can’t be repeated. I’m tired of being unable to build things in this country because Dem special interest groups keep them in development purgatory while feasting on public funds.

@StatisticUrban COVID lockdowns. The lockdowns punished the young the most by far when they were also the ones with almost zero risk profile.

@ZaidJilani Because blue states have shrinking populations, the electoral college will actually begin to favor them increasingly more until we have a new census in 2030.

@MichaelAArouet Youth unemployment in Spain has hovered around 25-40% for almost two decades now. Once the Spanish boomers retire and the habitually under- and un-employed much smaller following generation who has mostly loafed around has to pay for everything Spain is *screwed*

@StatisticUrban I think it mostly is. We saw this after the East Palestine train derailment and when that ship hit the Baltimore bridge, after those incidents similar incidents were reported.

@BaldingsWorld *Europe goes to China* Xi Jinping: “here is our offer, you buy everything from us, and in return we will harvest your IP and buy nothing from you. Also we will fund pirates to disrupt your sea lanes and provide weapons to your enemies” Europeans, probably: “sounds great!”👍

@StatisticUrban I suspect this is inflated a bit by all the small European countries selling to each other though.

@wil_da_beast630 If you look at how much colonization America did vs. how much it could have done (a better measure) the US is one of the lower colonizing civilizations IMHO. People generally underestimate how economically powerful the US was pre-WW2.

@Noahpinion We also now have declining fentanyl deaths, declining obesity because of Ozempic, and the Floyd era of lax policing where traffic deaths and murders rose is also ending… it’s likely that the next few years will see the quickest increases in life expectancy we’ve seen in a while.

@Tablesalt13 If Canada did 3% like the US your military could be as strong as France or Britain.
