Actually, assuming no manufacturing supply chain issues the only reason why there could be a shortage of toilet paper if if there was a sudden increase in the number of complete arseholes in the count..... Ah, I get it now.
@PippaCrerar
Let's be clear, this is NOT a Gov. triumph, this is the Gov. being dragged kicking and screaming into doing the right thing because they now need to lay their hands on a lot of oil quickly to plug the Russian shortfall. They could have done this 6 years ago!
@LizWebsterSBF
Job Opportunity:
Are you a crushing xenophobe?
Do foreigners wind you up?
Do you hate 'funny food'?
Are you an unthinking, nit picking jobsworth?
Great News! Border Force has a job for you...
@MrJohnNicolson
No surprise, my constituency. They would vote for myxomatosed rabbit with a blue rosette on it. Vegetables here don't just grow in the fields.

@RishiSunak
1. There is no such thing as illegal immigration.
2. Leaving the ECHR will reject us from the Council of Europe (for Brexiters, nothing to do with the EU) and put us in the same company as Russia and Belarus, I.e. a global pariah.

This is one of the most offensive photos around.
My dad fought it WWII to get rid of fascists yet here they are in the centre of Government.
@DavidGHFrost
@BrandonLewis
@IrishTimes
This really is not difficult. The EU and the UK are now separate, regulatory and economically. Therefore there WILL be a border. The only question is where the border sits. The options are:
1. Across the middle of Ireland (illegal under GFA)
2. Down the Irish sea.
Own your shit
@petertimmins3
Council underfunding.
Councils have lost 40% of their funding since 2010. Councils are now in the position of deciding where to spend this year's 50 quid.
Tax cuts come with consequences.
@DavidHenigUK
Johnson seems to be suffering from the delusion that the UK and EU are equals.
They are not.
EU: 15Trill GDP, 500 Mill population
UK: 2 Trill GDP, 65 Mill population.
EU: 600 experienced, battle hardened negotiators
UK: The Muppet show with added delusions.
We are fucked.
@Katsuefox
It's part of an orchestrated campaign to discredit the NHS and pave the way for privatization. Well understood process.
We must resist at all costs.

So, our national broadcaster, the broadcasts of which are available all over Europe and beyond, has given airtime to this amoeba, thus confirming to the world, your average Brit struggles to be more sentient than pond life.
@alexhallhall
This has been a long time in preparation. The role of the partisan press, the quiet loading of the
@BBC
with sympathetic stooges, the attacks on the EU, civil service, migrants, the judiciary, human rights, academia, intellectuals and experts. This country has experienced a coup.
@UKdemocrat
Funny that. You take on total responsibility for activities previously shared with 27 other countries then sit in wide eyed incomprehension when admin costs go through the roof. ๐
@snowleopardess
Amazingly there are Healthcare workers who vote Tory and would probably be happy to be photographed with the Crime Minister. However it is not unknown for the Tories to also use actors.
@hendopolis
EU GDP: 15 Trillion, 500 million population
UK GDP: 2 Trillion, 65 million population
EU: 600 Trained and experienced negotiators
UK: Half a dozen inexperienced negotiators
EU: All the time in the world
UK: Desperate.
I wonder where this is going to go.
@adrianwalley
@MerielMyers
No, of course not, just hundreds of academic papers published in peer reviewed Journals by the acknowledged experts in their fields, who have done nothing else but study the virus for over two years.
@LizWebsterSBF
Tories lied.....
And the surprise is...?
Those of us who bothered to read knew the purpose of Brexit was for the Tories to abandon any form of regulation that hampered the unfettered gouging of profits for their chums.
@andreajenkyns
Yes Nile.
She called Mandela a terrorist
She armed Osama bin Laden and Saddamโs Iraq,
She sent the SAS to train the Khmer Rouge,
She formed a close personal friendship with fascist General Pinochet.
She destroyed British industry
She laid the foundations of the 2008 crash.

It is even questionable as to whether he had Covid at all. There is plenty of prima facie evidence it was all a put up job to garner sympathy.

, when are you going to issue an apology for deliberately distorting this woman's view to meet the instructions you have received from No 10?
@steverichards14
Thatcher was divisive. Some parts of the country never recovered from her slash and burn economic butchery. She destroyed whole communities and just left them to get on with it. The negatives of her misrule far outweigh any positives.
@BestForBritain
@pollytoynbee
We have just left the EU precisely so the tax dodging can continue. If UK backs Biden's plan, Brexit has no purpose whatsoever.
@HelveticDon
Capitalism:
You offer to cut the grass for ยฃ10
You subcontract the mowing to your brother for ยฃ1
You charge your brother 50p for the loan of the mower
You deduct a further 20p because it wasn't completed in the unrealistic time set by you.
You pocket the difference ( 9.70).
@theAliceRoberts
I know it must be utterly frustrating, but some men can't stand intelligent, educated women. From my side carry on what you are doing. You are a brilliant, erudite and talented communicator.

Go in hard.

But, apparently, it is OK for my wife, as a healthcare professional, to get up close a personal to 10 patients a day, when they are of of unknown CV19 status when she has minimal PPE and the patient is not obligated to wear even a mask.

All you need to know about the UK's eventual abolition of the slave trade is they compensated the slave owners, not the slaves.

Unless the UK continues to recognize the CE mark, some medical devices will also disappear in due course. For some devices it is simply not worth going through another regulatory regime for a small market like the UK.

Brexit has been described as watching you library being burned down by people who can't read. Sitting in the ashes is not a substitute for having a library.
@nicktolhurst
The EU:
All but surrounds us
Is 5 times our size
Take 50% of our exports
Supplies 30% of our food
Suppliments our energy supply
(Et al)...
Seriously, who do you think is going to win this one?
@mikegalsworthy
First rule of warfare, only pick fights you know you can win.
The EU:
1. Is 5 times our size
2. All but surrounds us
3. Takes 50% of our exports
4. We only represent 7% of their imports
There is only one who will win this.
Hint: It won't be us.
@castlvillageman
@margarance
Nutty Nige tried that ploy on Irish TV claming that Ireland wanted to leave the EU. The presenter gave that very short shrift pointing out support for the EU in Ireland was 80%. I believe her comment was 'So yeah, like that is going to happen'.
@CCTCommander
Yup, desperate people packed into inadequate rubber boats and who we have economically raped or who we have been instrumental in bombing out of their homes are definitely a threat. What a hero!
@chrisgreybrexit
A very depressing read.
"Britain spends 21 percent less on healthcare than France, and 39 percent less than Germany."
And we wonder why there is a crisis.

@Jacob_Rees_Mogg
UK about to find out the hard way that when you sit on the doorstep of a market five times your size, they dictate the regulatory landscape, whether you like it or not.
@piersmorgan
It hasn't occurred to you has it Piers that the reason the UK is 'doing well' at the moment is because companies are preparing for the imminent famine by stockpiling and warehousing.
