Discoid Lateral Meniscus (DLM):
In pts w DLM, surgical mgmt of any kind correlated w ⬆️ valgus and ⬆️ lateral compartment OA (40.3% after operative mgmt and only 7.1% of nonop DLM). Surgically treated non-DLM pts showed progression in 17.2%.
ACL Failure:
Knee hyperextention > 6.5° demonstrated an OR of 14.56 for graft rupture in a series of 457 pts, with ROC sensitivity 78.1%, specificity of 76.7%, and AUC 0.842.
Superior capsule reconstruction (SCR) with biceps tendon improves clinical and radiologic outcomes in patients with irreparable rotator cuff tears.

Combined Reconstruction of the Anterolateral Ligament in Patients With Anterior Cruciate Ligament Injury and Ligamentous Hyperlaxity Leads to Better Clinical Stability and a Lower Failure Rate Than Isolated Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction
Rotator Cuff Ripstop:
The load-sharing rip-stop uses 2 medial ⚓️ and 1 rip-stop tape independently secured with 2 lateral ⚓️. It improves ultimate LTC by 1.7x vs single-row and shows 53% healing of large/ massive tears vs 11% healing w single-row.
ACL reconstruction:
Cortical suspensory button location may impact femoral fixation strength… another factor to consider when drilling the femoral tunnel, and a potential argument for outside-in drilling.

Patients demonstrate a reduced incidence of pain (92.7% to ~9.1%) and increased bone defect fill (84.4 to 97.4%) over 2 yrs following removal of locking plates used for medial opening wedge HTO.

Meniscus ramp lesions were found in 11.8% of ACL tears. Sensitivity / specificity of 4 MRI grades were defined. Type 3 grades were most accurate overall, Type 1 and 2 highly sensitive but nonspecific.

Don't wait too long! Surgical delay >6 months reduces the likelihood of a medial meniscal tear being repairable in the setting of primary ACLR, while a delay >12 months increases risk of cartilage and meniscal injury. . Editorial:
This study demonstrated 25.9% rate of overlap for combined LMPR repair and ACLR, compared with 0% for MMPR repair with ACLR.

Players, who underwent ACLR, that return to soccer have a significantly higher risk of sustaining further ACL injury.
