@davidgaw @jaynordlinger No lol. Conservatism isn’t about never doing anything. It’s only about what form of liberal democracy you prefer. If progressives have driven liberalism too far then conservatives would have to take drastic measure to implement their policies.

There is no “owning the libs”, almost all westerners are liberals. Owning the progressives is a thing though.

Words have meaning, and conservatism is the belief that the best form of liberalism was in the past. This is what conservatives are trying to conserve. If liberalism has been taken too far, conservatives will have to take measures to fix it - otherwise they’re just nostalgic dreamers.
