Our renewal of The Battle for the Bell in 2022 reenergized the old rivalry after Ashland went 1-14-1 between 1994 & 2003 with our only win in ‘94. The bell has been residing safely in Ashland with wins in both ‘22 & ‘23.

Ashland (Ohio) 2026 Top100 quarterback Nathan Bernhard is scheduled to see three of top programs in college football this spring.
The 6-foot-5 and 227-pound signal caller is also in the process of scheduling a return visit to Penn State.

OLD ERIE BELL…rivalry for the bell started in 1953. The bell was presented by the Erie railroad when their steam locomotives and passenger travel was coming to a close. The railroad had been a popular mode of travel by fans and bands for the Ashland/Marion games for 3 decades.
