The good news is we remain on track to launch the Arkeo network this summer. Hopefully as things solidify over the next number of weeks more info will become available but launch targets remain targets due to the last few remaining unknowns getting completed.
With the date being a target, no target date is any sort of guarantee of launch timeline as the community will be the ones to startup the network at genesis.

As part of mainnet launch prep, Arkeo’s codebase will be entering a code freeze by the end of January to start a final security audit ahead of launch. With a goal of security audit in February, once any subsequent identified fixes are completed a launch date will be set!.

@LeosCryptoman Correct validators and data providers are not the same. The main difference is data providers serve blockchain data from whatever nodes they wish to support (Bitcoin, ethereum, cosmos, etc) vs a validator which just helps validate the Arkeo blockchain.
