🏛️ ArMA’s Doctor of the Day #13: ArMA Flagstaff Member Dr. Tasha Harder!   Dr. Tasha Harder is a Family Medicine physician completing her residency at North Country HealthCare in Flagstaff. She also serves as a Clinical Instructor at @uazmedphx in Family, Community & Preventive Medicine. A graduate of @ATSU_news – SOMA, she is passionate about caring for Arizona communities.   Despite being based in Flagstaff, Dr. Harder is lending her voice at the Capitol today—highlighting the importance of hearing from all Arizona physicians, rural and urban alike. 🏛️ ArMA's Doctor of the Day #9: ArMA L&G & Public Health Committee member Dr. Marla Rejbi!   Yesterday, ArMA welcomed Marla Rejbi, DO to the Arizona Capitol as Doctor of the Day. Dr. Rejbi is a hospice and palliative medicine internist and faculty physician with Dignity Health Medical Group. Relocated from Chicago, Illinois, Dr. Rejbi made her way to desert and continues to leave her mark. He served for 4 years as a physician in Northern Arizona with the rural White Mountain Apache Tribe before joining the residency in Central Phoenix. With his passion for GME and quality care, as well as his experiences serving all areas of Arizona, Dr. Brown is a formidable advocate for both physicians and patients down at the Capitol. He takes care of people of all ages and has helped teach hundreds of family physicians who provide care all over Arizona. 🏛️ ArMA's Doctor of the Day #6: ArMPAC Chair @galexandermd!   Dr. GretchenAlexander, past ArMA president and current @ArizonaMedPAC Chair started off ArMA's third week of its Doctor of the Day Program.   Dr. Alexander works as a board-certified psychiatrist caring for patients in the Phoenix metro area. She also currently serves as Chair of ArMA's taskforce for Medical Aid in Dying. 🏛️ ArMA's Doctor of the Day #5: L&G Chair Dr. @HeidiTavel!   Today, ArMA is proud to bring Dr. Heidi Tavel and one of her residents down to the Arizona Capitol as our Doctors of the Day!   Dr. Tavel currently serves as chair of ArMA's Legislative and Government Affairs Committee. She is a native Tucsonan physician anesthesiologist who is a graduate of the University of Arizona College of Medicine and the University of Arizona Anesthesiology Residency Program. She leads ArMA's advocacy-focused committee and helped direct ArMA's legislative agenda into the 2025 year. From her position, she's deeply interested in the protection and advancement of the House of Medicine.   Alongside her is her Anesthesiology resident physician Christian Daahir, MD, who currently studies at University of Arizona. Through the Arizona Society of Anesthesiologists (@AzSocietyofAnes), Christian is the first Arizona resident physician to undergo a two-week physician advocacy elective. He has been active in organized medicine for over 15 years at the local and national level, including as past president of the Arizona Urologic Society.   Dr. Jameson is a seasoned DOD participant. 🏛️ ArMA's Doctor of the Day #1: 133rd President @nadeemakazi!   We're proud to introduce ArMA's 133rd President, Dr. @nadeemakazi , as the first participant of ArMA's 2025 Doctor of the Day Program.   As a long-standing ArMA leader, Dr. Kazi represented the physician community as the Arizona State Legislature celebrated the 2025 Legislative Session's Opening Day. He sat alongside ArMA's Advocacy Team as @GovernorHobbs issued her State of the State Address, which highlighted the need for continued improvement of healthcare in Arizona.   Dr. Kazi is a practicing gastroenterologist, dedicated physician and patient advocate, and passionate philanthropist. In 1997, he began practicing medicine in Arizona and established a solo medical practice in Casa Grande. BREAKING: The Arizona Medical Association applauds @GovernorHobbs for renewing her commitment to healthcare in today’s State of the State Address. In her remarks to the state legislature and residents, the Governor shared her vision for restoring the #ArizonaPromise, which included a continued effort to improve healthcare. Like @GovernorHobbs, ArMA is striving to guarantee patients have access to the healthcare they deserve and physicians have the autonomy they need to provide quality care.
