1.5 have started the periodic table topic and we were taking about Marie Curie today. Element 96 is named after this inspirational scientist.
Remembering the first woman to be awarded a Nobel Prize, the first individual to be awarded two Nobel Prizes and still today the only individual with two Nobel Prizes in two different scientific categories: Marie Skłodowska Curie. Curie was born #OnThisDay in 1867.

A spooky addition to S2’s chemical reaction lesson today. We got to feel the heat given off as a sign of the chemical reaction. It was commented that Mrs Burgoyne’s pumpkin carving skills is an area for development. 🎃
