A federal judge on Monday rejected a legal challenge to Oklahoma's execution protocol, ruling it does not violate a constitutional prohibition against cruel and unusual punishment. It clears the way for OK to carry out as many as 28 executions over the next 2 years.

To execute a man, even a guilty one, who is 79 yo is unnecessary and unreasonable. This rush to execute is bewildering. The death penalty is flawed, expensive and no longer needed to exact punishment in OK. Please pray for the Reaves & Ivens families, and for the Stouffer family.
