Every 6 months, my dentist sends me an email ahead reminding me of my appointment and a need to come back for the cleaning of my teeth. You can use this approach in your business. For every cake being made for a customer during their birthday, note down the date. For weddings, write down the wedding date, so you can remember it during their anniversary, when it’s drawing nearer, send a a reminder to them urging them to celebrate or get a cake for the anniversary. Some don't even have it in mind, because of you reminding them about how beautiful such a moment is, can help. Keeping tabs on the date of events is very useful if you are into something such as this. You made pastries for a school, note the date down in case it’s an annual event or occasional one, be in contact with the person that came to you. You've made cakes and pastries for children during their birthday, note down the dates, and remind the parents when another is coming. You just need to stack it up enough to exhaust your time and make more doses. You can seek the consent of the parents ahead when keeping the data. Working with data will actually help you have repeated customers. You are a nail tech, and after 2-4weeks, a new one is needed, remind your customers, also the same is applicable for hairdressers and stylists. Men need to carve their beards, get their number and remind them after 2 weeks. If you are a mechanic, note down the date of oil change, my dealer time when I need to do an oil change, fluid topping, breaks, tire rotation et al and they remind me in the mail. Mechanics will put a sticker in front of your car on the date the oil was changed and the date you ought to bring it back for another oil change. Make sure your customers return by engaging and reminding them. This is how companies are built, you must learn how to acquire and retain customers. Data by keeping tabs is how you do it. Be wary of this type of people. They demonize their background, they distance themselves from their identity, they push the single narrative of themselves as being the only good person among their clan. They can't think beyond themselves, they demonize their race, ethnicity, gender and family et al as evil except themselves. They do this in the name of approval of others, they are not good people; most times, they are hypocrites and narcissists. Clock it and save yourself from them.
