I don’t know whether Elon himself is getting a paycheck but it would be normal for a new department to get one. If I had to guess I would say he’s not taking one just like President Trump but I don’t know those details. If you’re a business owner or involved in tech, you and I can only imagine what upgrades of this size will cost! I appreciate the reference to the article.

Well, I appreciate something. But this just says the $7m was the budget of the defunct Digital Management department turned over to the new DOGE department. Elon and his crew have a mandate to upgrade the software systems that we all know have been dinosaur-era for decades. So why isn’t this a good thing?

And, why WOULDN’T a governmental department charged with ferreting out egregious spending violations receive a budget?
