Nearly 11 years ago, I quit my corporate job to pursue an alternate career path. I chartered an unknown territory, figuring out things myself & being my own guru. In 5 days, I'll be felicitated with Karamveer Chakra (Gold Medal) which is a global civilian honour. Who knew then!

The same old argument. Comparing a woman's safety to leaving a car unlocked is absurd. Women are not things. The issue isn't about 'precautions' — it's about holding perpetrators/system accountable. Will you ask a man to take precautions to avoid getting, say, killed on a road?

started this trend to normalise parents being fit. We keep saying 'Oh you don't look like a mom' as compliments because we feel moms look a certain way only. My fitness mantra is dancing and it keeps me both mentally and physically fit.
Parents can be fit too! If body shaming must stop fit-shaming must stop too. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to maintain fitness in this busy life. Don’t devalue other people’s efforts. Good that you brought this up

Once in college, I had gone all out raging, trying to bash up a group of boys who were harassing one of my friends. This story, often recalled by my mom & friends, stuck in my daughter's head who agreed to learn Taekwondo for repeating history 😂 Her first fight is in December 💪

We have hired a cook for our home. My daughter is not a 'bechari kid' who doesn't get 'maa ke haath ka khana' every day. I do, at times, make her favs. She gets 'maa ke saath fun moments' & we share a strong bond. Neither she nor I define my motherhood based on my cooking skills.
