Radio 2 news: The UK population is projected to reach 72.5 million by 2032, up from 67.6 million in 2022. The Office for National Statistics says the increase will come about almost entirely because of net migration, which is projected to total 4.9 million over 10 years.

I saw David Lynch interviewed at the National Film Theatre when Blue Velvet was released. I remember the audience particularly enjoyed an anecdote about how his VW’s roof rack figured in the making of Eraserhead. He called it “the real Philadelphia Story”

@Knowledgepoint Last year I discovered a ggg aunt had married a man who was Night Porter at Devonshire House in 1911. There are passenger lists of him travelling back and forth to NYC, perhaps as staff to the Cavendish family.
