This is just one of the scenarios whereby Canada collapses. It's unlikely that we can survive a currency collapse. How it manifests and what the triggers appear to be, could be anything. Will likely see separation of the provinces, either the Western ones first, or Quebec, for cultural reasons. Maybe people will look back and invoke the problems with initial confederation. There's already a solid legal argument that the provinces should be able to declare sovereignty. Details are in this video.
