I think despite SFM's reputation, I still unironically love it. Case and point, I use it all the time both for personal and professional work. I owe it a lot for being my teacher and motivator at a time when I couldn't afford anything else.
Valve releases Source Film Maker, a free to use software that was used in the 'Meet the Team' trailers for TF2. It remains one of the most accessible and popular animation tools for online creators to this day. (2012)
