*Language controls the realm of allowable thought.*
Remember this when it comes to "preferred pronouns": The biggest insight in George Orwell's 1984 was not about the role of surveillance in totalitarian regimes, but rather the primacy of language in shaping our sense of reality and our ability to act within it. Language controls the realm of allowable thought. The constant reinforcement of wrong sex pronouns and the terms "transwoman" and "transman" degrade the integrity of sex categories and make people believe there is something "other" than men or women. This is exactly why some people have begun to say "biological" in front of the terms man and woman, as if to distinguish that some men/women are "biological" and some are "man made." Just like wrong sex pronouns and trans as a modifier, the term "biological" as a modifier reinforces belief in transgenderism and degrades our sex recognition instincts.

@babybeginner @LeorSapir *It took me a while to get here but I noticed if I said no it was always met with aggression. If I am not free to say no it is not a “request” it is a demand.* 👍👍👍

Vegans often report that the most stressful aspect of veganism is the disrupted friendships & r/ships that result once they go vegan. Ed Winters talks about this in detail in his book *Vegan Propaganda*. That's why vegans need to form communities where veganism is 👍acceptable 🎈
In order to heal a broken relational pattern you need to create a complete circuit. Otherwise you simply keep looping and getting stuck. Completing the circuit requires someone on the other end who is at the very least capable of hearing you. That’s how the healing takes place.

"A preliminary hearing ruled Dr Upton could be called a man, which is how the Scottish Daily Express will be referring to him." Almost alone among media outlets, the Scottish Daily Express shows backbone and respect for accuracy (h/t @leng_cath). ✊

Vegans need friends, family members, community & colleagues who are capable of hearing us. As the basic bare bones to getting our needs met in the world.
