I resigned as
@OffalyCamogie
PRO tonight.
My role the past 4 years has been extremely rewarding. Thank you to everyone who helped along the way. I made some great memories & even better friends.
But right now I’m just looking for to playing & having nothing else to worry about.
I've wanted to go to Duinquinn for years. Once Google maps brought me up a laneway of a house off O Connor Pass, finally got here today. Speechless

Imagine waking up, heading to Tullamore to get the train kitted out head to toe with your jersey, flag and headband. Standing on hill 16 waving the flag and then sprinting onto the pitch.
Stuff of dreams, fingers crossed it won't be too long again. 🤞🏼

After 5 years, Johnny Greville has stepped down as
@WestmeathCamogi
manager.
His reign included
1 All-Ireland Junior Championship
1 All-Ireland Intermediate Championship
1 Div 2 League title
1st Senior Championship win
1 Leinster inter-championship
So sad to hear this news today. It’s incredible how coaches can have such an impact on your life. Johnny was our u14 Offaly Camogie coach & he taught me how to be a “cute” hurler and how to read the game. Forever smiling and up for a laugh. Rest in peace Johnny 💚🤍💛
Offaly GAA is mourning the death of hurling legend, Johnny Flaherty.
A hero for Offaly and his Club,
@KinnittyGaa
, Johnny scored the winning goal in the 1981 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Final.
May he rest in peace.

I can’t stop thinking about Ashling’s family, her friends, colleagues, neighbours, the kids she thought, the musicians she played with.
Ashling went for a run.
Hi
@RTE_PrimeTime
, why are you not showing the safe

I love County final day, there are no words to explain the buzz that a winning team has. The roar when the final whistle sounds, The hugs, kisses & tears on the pitch or hearing the behind the scenes stories that come to light in the speeches/post game chats. Club championship🙌🏼
⚾For the last number of weeks we’ve all taken steps for ourselves & eachother to flatten the curve, protect our frontline staff & save lives. But it’s not over yet & we need to keep up the good work.

Landed home for the clubs county final (now postponed) and the u20 All-Ireland. An amazing sea of green, white and gold since we got off the motorway. Goosebumps 🤞🏽
Wishing my Twitter friends a very Happy New Year! 💙🥳 (p.s If you like a tweet with the

It hasn’t been a great year for the GAA PR wise. O’Byrne Cup final,

, Ghost goals, referees, Confederate flags, “neutral” venues and the latest

game all have had significant public backlash 🙈
This week our wonderful county laid to rest Ashling Murphy. My heart is broken for her, her family, the community of Kilcormac/Killoughey & her friends whether it be musicians, Camogie players, college friends, school or work colleagues. May her friends & family find peace & love
Yesterday was amazing. The 20x20 camapaign was incredible. Now imagine every person who tweeted attended one extra game this year, coached one extra team, helped one extra girl stay in sport. We would never need a campaign like this again ☺️

Unfortunately the Hurling/Camogie double header will not be going ahead. Instead the Camogie team play in Banagher at the same time the hurling game is fixed in Tullamore. Where is the logic/sense/cop on etc???

Absolutely gutted for
@strynaghcamogie
Throughout the game they battled hard, worked tirelessly & it was stolen in the final min. On another note, what a campaign it has been 3 county senior titles, back to back Leinster titles & reaching the All-Ire for the 1st time this year👏🏼
Heard about the
@WhatstheScor
app via twitter news yesterday, took no notice. Stuck to it today. Talk about an unbelievable resource for upto date results of club games 🙌🏽
Leinster club championship Football at 12 in Louth and Leinster club championship Camogie at 3 in Offaly. 🤔🤔 impossible for St.Rynaghs and Naomh Ciaran players Roisin Egan and Kate Kenny.
Not to take away from the preformance of any team this weekend but if anything, both semi-finals have raised the need for more video technology. If players are treating it professional, they deserve professional standards.
Really disappointed to hear that a motion will be presented at the Camogie congress Friday to remove the handpass goal. It’s a massive part of camogie that separates us from hurling with skill& speed. If it passes I think we will be losing a lot of our identity
#Savethehandpass
Although the u20's didn't get the result, they showed unbelievable character and pride in the jersey. Today showed what Offaly fans can be, let's be those Offaly fans everytime Offaly take to the field
#Uibhfhailiabu
I hope eventually Camogie follows suit with the GAA & moves to a split season. Playing season lasts March to September. No games from May 3rd-July 3rd (No fixtures yet for Provincial).
Leaves very limited time for meaningful club scene.
(Provincial has cut off start date-Oct)
One week on from my first main commentary gig for the
@OffalyCamogie
senior camogie final. It's something I always wanted to challenge myself to do, I won't lie the first couple of minutes were pretty intense but eventually got into the groove 😊🎙️
Offaly hurlers are on the back of a great win away from home. Every man, woman & child will want to see them play on Sunday. Hard to attract supporters to our game. It just makes no sense, Róisín Egan playing in Banagher while brother Colin in Tullamore 🤷🏽♀️

The past week I've noticed a lot of media sites campaigning for the return of team sports sooner rather than later. Personally it makes me quite anxious to think of returning to team sports living with my 91 year old nanny and having asthma.

“You have to realise that people's disposable income just can't stretch to all of that.” - Horan on supporters being unable to go to multiple games last summer which led to decreasing football attendance. So what do they GAA do? Make it more expensive for people to go games 🤔
As an organisation we need to retain players. We cannot afford to pressurise or influence players decisions on which teams they want to play for.
Players have voted, they want to give equal priority to club & county, give them the chance to.
The camogie season is set to go national league, club, inter-county
82% of players (WGPA) and all senior counties except one were against it
Camogie Association plough on regardless
Over to you

Is this a token photo or are ye going to stand up for the players
The comebacks of all comebacks today for Laois camogie. Trailing 1-5 to 1-0 (scored at 15mins) with 15 to go. Final result in The RAGG Laois 1-10 Kerry 1-6 AET. Semi finals next weekend 🎥🎥
So here we are again at level 3. Now more than ever our local shops, bars, cafes, restaurants need us. Support local. Support jobs within your county 🤞🏼

What a weekend 🤩 Camogie, Hurling and the Late Late Show. Level 3 on the horizon too.
Even for a couple of days, it was lovely to get a sense of normality 🥰
Referees are always a talking point after a game but both camogie finals were refereed perfectly today. Free flowing, physical, skillful games is all we want 👌🏼🙌🏽

What an outstanding achievement by
@CLGLaois
hurlers this evening. And what a statement they have made on behalf of all the Joe McDonagh teams 👏🏼👏🏼

Biggest congratulations to the
@strynaghcamogie
team and club on winning their All-Ireland Club final. Completely deserving of the title.
Those Mairead Daly and Kate Kenny points 🔥
As a PR graduate, I always find brand ambassadors & their relationships with companies really interesting. Looking at the Laois GAA, MWHire & Gary Walsh saga, it gives a reason to the GAA to monitor or handout social media guidelines for inter-county players accounts
