5 years ago today I bought my fourth truck , that finance deal.was the most frightened I've ever been in business and here we are now 14 trucks 13 trailers a shop mechanic and support staff on payroll...still got the shirt though

If you have a driver that rolls this into an inspection and never reports it to you or checks the breaks to see if they are dry how long will he or she be still employed. (Driver had trailer for 2 weeks and 2 wheels lokk like this)

Most of my drivers make 100k plus a generous benefits program , but they out perform industry averages we were buying anniversary gifts for the year with my wife most have been with us over 4 years ...this isna great industry I am just a college drop out started with one truck

I have single truck O/Os making more than $200,000 net.
The job doesn't even require a high school education.

From an owners pov if it's amicable and a solid employee I'll work with the notice. But if the employee is hostile and I do not feel safe with them representing me or my equipment I'll route them back and let them know their two weeks is unnecessary
Allways 3 sides here.
Driver gives his company his 2-weeks notice. Rather than dispatch him home they disable his truck. I’ve been lucky in that every company I’ve worked with has been cool with me turning in the keys with plenty of time to figure things out.

So very fitting that is me taking delivery of a set of our first fleet trucks in 2018 ...I used it 5 years later to pull a load to help set up new lanes for some of my guys . If my daughter could have been with me it would have been a perfect day.

Had a driver find out the hard way whether in a pov or a cmv cops can ask for blood urine or a breathalyzer at there discretion do not refuse at Roadside fight it later . While I agree blood is a huge over reach this is not the time to fight.
