@MarcusCVance Break it up into 2 layers with aerogel in between, and resistance to DEWs gets even crazier.

@FiendishAngels Eliza returned a couple of hours later, loaded down with all their supplies, as well as additional supplies they had meant to purchase while in town. Despite the weight, the diminutive woman seemed unfazed by the burden as she neared Red's position.

65% silicon as a base and stabilizing matrix, 18% graphene, 15% CNTs, and 2% carbyne. The result is a composite that, at 30mm thick, is equivalent to 500mm of RHA, with an entire power armor suit at that thickness weighing around 85 lbs. For more GEN3 MJOLNIR proportions, so 62mm at the thickest sections, it still only goes up to 155 lbs. Meanwhile, CNT artificial muscle fibers in the underlying techsuit amplify user strength tenfold.

@SilverARTicfox @Ndad7316 Sailed right over your head, didn't it? Must be the TBIs you suffered, cause you must suffer brain damage to have missed the sarcasm.

I'm all over the place as far as my favorite franchises, and I'm honestly probably one of those that some might label as fascistic(even though I'm more of a minarchist, and no, that isn't a typo of monarchist). I just call things as I see them. Based on what we see damaging ceramite, along with its description in the Lexicanum, I've determined that it is most likely a bonded composite of 18 alternating layers of 8.48mm of boron carbide, grade 38 titanium-50, and graphene, which gives the thickest sections of Astartes power armor a strength of 300mm RHA, which places it on par with a medium tank of WWII. It performs even better against DEWs. That said, a lasgun averages around 50-75kW per shot, and lascannons, 1-3MW. The U.S Navy's HELIOS only reaches 500kW, and that has a range of around 10km. Sounds powerful. And then you have the M6 Grindell-Galilean Nonlinear Rifle, more commonly known as the Spartan Laser, with an output of 1.21gW. See what I mean?

Yeah, fair. If the crowd is rushing up on you like that, it ain't exactly hard to figure out their intentions, and it really shouldn't be an issue, but you have a point there. And this whole thing happening in California..well, being in jail is still better than being beaten to death.

40k is powerful. However, it's not as OP as some may claim. And one area it rolls over most is raw numbers. For example, if you look at what augmentations Astartes have, how they work, and what they do, Spartans compare favorably to them. However, there's fewer than 2,000 Spartans across every class in the entire setting. There's more than that in Codex noncompliant Chapters like the Black Templars and Space Wolves alone. Star Wars has better FTL and logistics, and similar numbers, but things get fucky when Librarians, Eldar Warlocks, or Necrons turn up.

@MarcusCVance @MonkeighAround @imperialpeasant I mean, everything I named is or was popular relatively recently. Oddly enough, Destiny outstrips 40k for sheer power.

@Richoffurgrancc @bigst0n3 @CoolBeens789 @RidgRnr79 @rawsalerts If you win your self-defense case, then you aren't doing time. And given they're all *trying* to attack, it wins on that front. That said, California would lock you away forever for daring to even try defending yourself.

@MonkeighAround @imperialpeasant @MarcusCVance Or any sci-fi anime that isn't especially grounded. Or sci-fi Marvel or DC comics. Or EU Star Wars(about par, honestly). Or any setting that is on par with these.
