@TECHINFOSOCIALS It is the closest it has on any battery test I have seen, which is in double figures now. The iPhone tends to have a more significant lead when the cameras are used in more intensive gaming.

@WorkaholicDavid Light use like yours, I can get around 10 hours SOT on my Pixel 8 Pro! Most phones sip juice in those apps. When you do more intensive tasks, especially on 5G with high brightness on the move, you see the battery life fall exponentially—for instance, in videography.

@mrtechpedia It is the first Oryon Snapdragon chip, so it will need OEMs to optimise. So far, from what I have seen, very few have tamed this chip for efficiency. It simply could be the core design is not as efficient as Dimensity and the A18 Pro.

@mellisreviews No, mine is fine. IOS 18.3 has been the best beta so far for me, with improved battery life and super-fast. I have had lags on 18.1. But progressively better since with one or two bugs. I am on iPhone 15 PM, though.

@Joeiscool5400 @AppleSnob_ @sondesix That is totally false. Please Google it, as it is common knowledge that Apple has more on-device AI than its rivals.

@TailosiveTech That is your AI opinion. It will be helpful for many. I use Writing Tools and save some £160 a year now; I cancelled Grammarly. iOS 18.4 is out tomorrow in beta with contextual awareness--should be interesting.

@iHateApplee No source equals moot. Please post links so we can verify otherwise, it could be fake.

@MacRumors I bet Samsung will refuse it as well. Rumour is that Samsung are in talks with ChatGPT as they have abandoned their own LLM AKA Gauss.

@Joeiscool5400 @sondesix Apple has OpenAI for generative AI, which is a medium-term solution whilst they train their LLM. Apple does have its own cloud AI, which answers less complicated questions, uses M-chip servers, and does not scrape your data.

@AlexGTech1 @Orange_Scooter Fingers-crossed. I do not have a 16PM; I have 11ProMax, 13PM and 15PM, and none of them have any issues on the iOS 18.3 beta. They did have problems on iOS 18/18.1.

@TheRealS1T @MacRumors Thinner as it will be the first with 2nm, which is a big jump in efficiency and lower thermals. Also, tandem OLED has its own display co-processor, which is far more efficient, reducing heat further.

@TheRealS1T @MacRumors It will use tandem OLED, which has >2X the life of current OLEDs and takes 2X longer to burn in, so it will probably be suitable for the life of 90% of MacBook Pros.

@1ordlugo @9to5mac @benlovejoy This is probably because some users may be fooled into downloading from a fake APK and end up with malware. It is only recommended to people who know what they are doing. The web version is far from perfect, but better than nothing.

@MacRumors No surprise, as sales of OLED iPads were so-so, suggesting that most people are not driven to upgrade to an OLED panel. That seems about right; I prefer IPS. No PWM, better battery life and sharper on IPS.

@UrielHdz497 @WorkaholicDavid I always say that if you are going to do anything, do it right to the best of your ability. If the tech is there for nearly 100% accuracy, we consumers should want that. I think that is Apple's philosophy as well.

@ninguart @WorkaholicDavid It can be; some apps do this. But apps are not as accurate as you would want compared to a system setting. Remember, a lawyer always waits for a mistake, so using the best method is requisite.

@KieranBLK @WorkaholicDavid Using AI for practical applications is sensible as you use the NPU and fewer resources. These types of AI features are what we need.

@LukeWat48544961 @sukunaa420 Try your laptop with and without a fan. It will make far more difference than 2X.
