I am grateful for the lessons, the wins, and even the setbacks that shaped 2024. As we step into a new one, I am embracing growth, fresh opportunities, and the promise of brighter days ahead.

It is with deep sadness that I join in mourning the tragic passing of O’Neil Stevens, Principal of Jessie Ripoll Primary School, and his wife, Mrs. Camesha Lindsay-Stevens. This is truly a heartbreaking loss. Jessie Ripoll Primary School, located on the border of my Division, Vineyard Town, has long been a pillar of the community. Through his unwavering kindness, generosity, and dedication to education, Mr. Stevens positively impacted many in the surrounding areas. His mentorship, acts of community service, and encouraging presence left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Mrs. Stevens, equally remarkable, stood as a steadfast pillar of support to him and their shared mission of service. I extend my deepest condolences to their family, the students, teachers, staff, and parents of Jessie Ripoll Primary.

The KSAMC, in collaboration with Hummingbird Feeds, started the year in the spirit of love and care by feting members of our homeless community at St. William Grant Park. We are committed to building a city that looks out for everyone. Let’s continue spreading hope and kindness throughout 2025.
