Hyperbole and bad faith need to be rigorously avoided in an emergency, especially when options for using force are being considered. This applies especially to those in positions of power but equally to journalists. No hyping. Hard facts and dispassionate analysis please.

The border is thousands of km long. Renting a couple of helicopters is not the masterstroke you think it is. What's the eyes-on coverage of the entire border on a 24/7 basis? Is the RCMP outward-facing, focused on the illegals you invited, or inward-facing to reduce threats to the US? Don't say 'both!' No one believes that's possible with such tiny numbers.
